Fear. The biggest Achilles tendon of all man kind. My personal worst enemy, and also my biggest weakness.
Fear can creep in so quietly and quickly....one second I am excited, happy and looking forward to something and then BAM the fear comes sneaking in. Can you relate? I see all of you shaking your heads yes. Fear is a common denominator of all mankind. It may look different for each of us but we all struggle with it in some way. The thing is, how can we live without the fear controlling us? How can we look fear in the eye and maintain control of our lives?
The answer.....PURPOSE!
Fear can feel like a tidal wave. We feel like we are helpless in the face of it, but the truth is...we are not! We are the only ones who define the strength of the fear. How can we see that fear and remember it does not define us? By remembering our PURPOSE!
When we make decisions from a place of purpose we see something bigger than the fear. We see the fear as just a normal part of pursuing our purpose. Fear becomes a battle wound of our pursuit to purpose.
So the big question becomes what do you get so fired up about, and excited about that you are willing to look fear in the face? What goals do you think about enough to fuel you through the fire of fear?
