The Benefits of Traveling

....hello again to the world of blogging. I have thought about writing again for a while but never really took the time, or space, to do it. But today is the day!! I had a huge opportunity this week to explore my discomfort so now is a better time than any to come back and share about it!


So traveling has always been an area of discomfort and fear for me. The lack of routine, the fear of the unknown, the physicality of being outside of my home, the riding with some unknown person in an unknown vehicle, etc. I know many people can relate to some, or all, of these stressors.


But as I have gotten older I have realized that travel always results in positive results.


For example....

  • Trips with my Hubbie = Amazing, new experiences together; uninterepted time together

  • Traveling across states to see family = Bonding; feeling rooted in someone/something; embacing previous memories; feeling closer to those who have past

  • Solo travels = Feelings of pride; meeting new people; standing on your own two feet in unknown spaces


So I encourage you......take the trip!


Yes, the anxiety will pop up before/on the trip.


Notice it.


Label it.


Breathe through it.


Make the memories.


The anxiety is worth it.


YOU ARE WORTH IT!
